The Lake Wissota Stewardship Project uses the 9 Key Element Plans as a way to compile published research, establish management strategies and a schedule of activities, and facilitate access to State and Federal grant opportunities. The project will apply agricultural best management practices in the watershed over the next 20 years (2021–2041) to meet a pollution reduction goal of 54% in the Lower Yellow River Watershed and Moon Bay of Lake Wissota.
